Committee Reports: None
Old Business:
*Patches & hats: patches/$5 and hats/$12. See Roger K. to place order.
*Campout: (September 17-20), at Alcona Park. Chaired by Sharon Kilbury. It rained a little, but the water-proofing-job on the tent held up. We all had a good time and enjoyed the food. 38 attended Saturday’s dinner. 11 sites were rented.
*Adopt-A-Highway: (September 23), chaired by Jean Shattuck. Report given by Buster. There were 10 members; 17 bags collected. Next pick up will be in April. More info to come later.
*Wood splitting: Report given by Buster. Split about 5 cords altogether. Buster estimates there’s a 2 year supply at Joe’s; 2-3 years at Kevin’s. Bart Stern loaned his wood splitter making the job a lot easier.
*Tree lighting: (December 5) at Rollways Park will start around 6 P.M. Need a chair person. There’s an issue with the permit: the Forest service wants applications for events made 6 months in advance. This could put a hold on our tree lighting. Our warming shed was suggested as an option. Roger K. will continue to look into this.
*Snowmobile trips: Christmas (January 11-15), chaired by Ken Schartner. Staying at the White Pine Lodge/$59 a night & includes breakfast. 14 rooms currently rented. Jim Demmith will betrail boss.
